Best Rooftop Bars in Barcelona 2026: Views, Prices and Who Gets In

Barcelona's rooftop bars, checked against their own 2026 pages and menus: which let non-guests up, what a cocktail costs, when they open and which take bookings.

Checked Research-led

Rewritten in October 2026

This guide was withdrawn on 6 October 2026 because too much of the old version was wrong: two of its rooftops had closed and two were for hotel guests only. It has been rewritten from each venue's own 2026 pages and menus. The corrections page lists what changed.

The short version

  • Most of Barcelona's good rooftops sit on hotels, and most let non-guests up to the bar. The pools are another matter: at the Majestic, the Ohla, Nobu, the Grand Hotel Central, Hotel 1898 and the Hoxton they're for hotel guests only.
  • Best old-city view for the money: L'Àtic at the Lamaro Hotel, at the height of the cathedral's bell towers, with no entry fee, no minimum spend and no booking.
  • Highest: Nobu's rooftop bar, and NOXE on the W's 26th floor, which is indoors behind glass.
  • Cocktails run from €14 at La Terraza del Pulitzer to €21–23 at La Dolce Vitae on the Majestic. The Grand Hotel Central's roof charges outside visitors a €17 fee.
  • Sunset is the slot: about 21:25 in June and July, 20:00 by mid-September, 19:10 by mid-October.

Barcelona's rooftop bars are mostly hotel bars that happen to be on the roof. That's good news if you're not staying in them: most will let you up for a drink. But every hotel sets its own rules on who gets in and when, whether you can book, and what it costs, and those rules are the difference between a sunset drink and a wasted walk.

Every venue here was checked against its own website and menus in October 2026. Hours and prices change with the season, so check the venue's page on the day.

How Barcelona's rooftops work

  • Non-guests: welcome at almost all of these, sometimes only at certain hours. L'Àtic opens to outside visitors at 12:00, the Ohla's rooftop at 19:00, and Nobu's roof is aimed at hotel guests by day.
  • Pools: for hotel guests only at the Majestic, the Ohla, Nobu, the Grand Hotel Central, Hotel 1898, the Hoxton and the Barceló Raval.
  • Booking: some take bookings (Terrat, La Terraza del Pulitzer, Sir Victor, Bonavista), some are first come, first served (La Dolce Vitae for drinks, Nobu, Tope, NOXE's bar), and L'Àtic doesn't need one.
  • Fees: the Grand Hotel Central charges outside visitors €17. La Dolce Vitae's menu sets a minimum cocktail price of €20. Nowhere else on this list publishes an entry fee.
  • Season: Terrat calls itself a seasonal rooftop, and La Isabela only publishes summer hours. The others publish hours without mentioning a season; Nobu's opens whenever the weather allows.

The old city: cathedral views

L'Àtic, Lamaro Hotel

The Lamaro is the old Hotel Colón, opened in 1951 and reopened after a renovation in June 2024, and L'Àtic is its roof, opposite the cathedral at the height of its bell towers. It's a rooftop bar with a Japanese-Mediterranean kitchen. No entry fee, no minimum spend and no booking: the best old-city view in Barcelona for the price of a drink.

  • Where: Avinguda de la Catedral 7, in the Gothic Quarter.
  • Open to non-guests: 12:00–23:00, space permitting; 11:00–12:00 is for hotel guests, who also get priority.
  • Drinks: cocktails €18, Aperol Spritz €15.

La Terraza del Central, Grand Hotel Central

An eighth-floor bar and restaurant with an infinity pool, looking across the Born to the sea. DJs play Friday to Sunday, 19:30–22:30, in summer. The catch is the fee: the hotel's 2026 menu charges outside visitors €17, and doesn't say whether that comes off your bill.

  • Where: Via Laietana 30.
  • Hours: 12:00–22:00, kitchen 14:00–21:00.
  • Drinks: cocktails €17, alcohol-free €15. The pool and sunbeds are for hotel guests.

Rooftop at Ohla Barcelona

Cocktails and tapas beside the Ohla's glass-walled pool, with the cathedral's silhouette on one side and the sea on the other. Non-guests can come up every day from 19:00 to 01:00, which makes it an evening-only rooftop for anyone not staying.

  • Where: Via Laietana 49, in the Gothic Quarter.
  • Not published: prices, fees or a dress code. The pool is for hotel guests.

La Isabela, Hotel 1898

A rooftop terrace with Balinese beds on La Rambla, which the hotel claims has the best skyline in Barcelona. It's open all year, but the hotel only publishes summer hours, and service moves indoors when it rains. Non-guests can go up when there's space.

  • Where: La Rambla 109.
  • Summer hours: 12:00–24:00 from June to the end of September, kitchen until 23:00. Off-season hours aren't published.
  • Drinks: Aperol Spritz €15, classic cocktails €16, Espresso Martini €17. The pool is for hotel guests.

Passeig de Gràcia and the Eixample

La Dolce Vitae, Majestic Hotel & Spa

The Majestic's rooftop restaurant and bar looks out over the Sagrada Família, the sea and the skyline, and it's open every day of the year. Drinks are first come, first served; bookings are only taken for meals. It's the priciest drink on this list: the menu sets a minimum cocktail price of €20.

  • Where: Passeig de Gràcia 68–70.
  • Hours: bar 09:00–01:00, restaurant 12:00–23:00.
  • Drinks: classic cocktails €21, signature cocktails €23. The pool is for hotel guests.

Terrat, Mandarin Oriental

The Mandarin Oriental's seasonal rooftop, with panoramic views above Passeig de Gràcia. It's food-led, with last dinner orders at 22:00, and the hotel says reservations are highly recommended.

  • Where: Passeig de Gràcia 38–40.
  • Hours for outside guests: 13:00–22:00 Sunday to Thursday, 13:00–23:00 Friday and Saturday. The months it opens aren't published, so check before you go out of summer.

La Terraza del Pulitzer, Hotel Pulitzer

A roof terrace six floors up, just off Plaça de Catalunya, with DJs and bands. The best-value cocktails of the central hotel rooftops here, and you can book through TheFork from the hotel's own page. Its sunset sessions run Thursday to Sunday from May to October.

  • Where: Carrer de Bergara 8.
  • Hours: 17:00–23:00 every day.
  • Drinks: classic cocktails €14, signature cocktails €15.

The Rooftop at Sir Victor

The Sir Victor hotel's rooftop restaurant and bar, with views over the city. It's open every day, 11:00–24:00, and you can reserve a table through TheFork from the hotel's page. The page doesn't say anything about non-guests either way, but the booking is public.

  • Where: Carrer del Rosselló 265.

Higher up

Nobu Rooftop, Nobu Hotel Barcelona

Nobu bills it as the highest rooftop bar in Barcelona: a local listing puts it on the 25th floor, 80 m up. It's first come, first served, aimed at hotel guests during the day and open to everyone at night. On Saturdays its Vertigo Sessions run from 20:00 to 00:00.

  • Where: Avinguda de Roma 2–4, next to Sants station.
  • Hours: 10:00–24:00 every day, whenever the weather allows.
  • Drinks: cocktails €18–19, alcohol-free €16. The pool is for hotel guests.

NOXE, W Barcelona

The W's 26th floor used to be Eclipse. It's now NOXE: a Japanese restaurant, cocktail bar and club. It isn't an open-air terrace. It's all indoors, behind panoramic windows, which makes it the one high bar here that works on a cold or rainy night. The bar is walk-in only and over-21s only, and the door enforces a dress code.

  • Where: Plaça de la Rosa dels Vents 1, at the end of Barceloneta.
  • Bar hours: 19:00–02:00 Sunday to Thursday, 19:00–03:00 Friday and Saturday.
  • Dress code: "elegant and chic": no trainers, flip-flops, ripped jeans, sportswear or caps, and no sleeveless shirts for men.

Away from the centre

Tope, The Hoxton Poblenou

The Hoxton's roof in Poblenou does tacos, aguachile and margaritas with a rooftop view. No booking needed: it's walk-ins. The cheapest drinks on this list.

  • Where: Avinguda Diagonal 205, Poblenou.
  • Hours: 10:00–24:00 Sunday to Wednesday; later Thursday to Saturday, so check the hotel's page.
  • Drinks: margaritas €14, spritzes from €9. The pool is for hotel guests.

Bonavista, Hotel Moxy

A tenth-floor restaurant and bar on the Moxy, a recent opening, for watching the sun set over Montjuïc. Jazz on Wednesdays, DJs at weekends. Anyone can book through CoverManager. It doesn't publish drinks prices.

  • Where: Carrer de Mallorca 1, near Plaça d'Espanya.
  • Hours: 17:00–00:00 Monday to Thursday, 17:00–01:00 Friday, 11:00–01:00 Saturday, 11:00–00:00 Sunday.

Not rooftop bars, but the view's the point

  • Barceló Raval: the hotel's 360° terrace on the 11th floor is open all year and doesn't need a reservation. It doesn't publish bar hours, so ask at the hotel.
  • Martinez: a rice-and-grill restaurant on Montjuïc with views of the port, the city and the sea. Open 13:00–00:00 Sunday to Thursday and 13:00–00:30 Friday and Saturday, and it takes bookings online.
  • Bunkers del Carmel (Turó de la Rovira): not a bar at all, but a free, open-access hilltop with a 360° view of the city. The opening hours on its page apply only to the museum displays.

When to go

Sunset is what most people come up for. In Barcelona it's about 21:00 in mid-May, 21:25 in June and July, 20:30 at the end of August, 20:00 in mid-September and 19:10 in mid-October. After the clocks go back on 25 October it drops to about 17:50 by the end of the month. Arrive half an hour before.

Most of these rooftops close between 22:00 and 01:00. Only NOXE's bar runs later (until 02:00, or 03:00 at weekends), so plan a rooftop as the start of the night, not the end.

Ones we couldn't confirm

  • Mirablau, the bar on the slopes of Tibidabo: its own website was full of spam and we found no reliable 2026 information, so it's not listed.
  • Vincci Gala: the hotel confirms a rooftop terrace with city views, but doesn't publish hours or say whether non-guests can use it.
  • Entre Cielos, on the 17th floor of the Torre Melina Gran Meliá: reported as opening in May 2026, but we couldn't check it against the hotel's own site.
  • Alaire, at the Condes de Barcelona: its terrace is temporarily closed.

Questions

Can you go to Barcelona's hotel rooftop bars if you're not staying there?

Usually, yes. L'Àtic at the Lamaro Hotel, La Dolce Vitae at the Majestic, the Ohla rooftop, Nobu, La Isabela, Terrat, La Terraza del Pulitzer, Tope and NOXE's bar all take non-guests, sometimes only at certain hours: L'Àtic from 12:00, the Ohla from 19:00, Nobu mainly in the evening. The pools are a different matter: where a rooftop pool says who can use it, it's hotel guests only.

Which Barcelona rooftop bar has the best view?

For the old city, L'Àtic at the Lamaro Hotel, opposite the cathedral at the height of its bell towers, with no fee or minimum spend. For the Sagrada Família, La Dolce Vitae on the Majestic. For height, Nobu's rooftop bar, which the hotel bills as the highest in Barcelona, or NOXE on the W's 26th floor, which is indoors.

How much is a cocktail at a Barcelona rooftop bar?

From €14 at La Terraza del Pulitzer and Tope to €21–23 at La Dolce Vitae, which sets a €20 minimum cocktail price. Most hotel rooftops sit around €15–19. The Grand Hotel Central charges outside visitors a €17 fee on top.

Do you need to book a rooftop bar in Barcelona?

It depends on the rooftop. Terrat at the Mandarin Oriental recommends reservations; La Terraza del Pulitzer and Sir Victor book through TheFork, and Bonavista through CoverManager. La Dolce Vitae (for drinks), Nobu, Tope and NOXE's bar are first come, first served, and L'Àtic needs no booking at all.

Is there a dress code at Barcelona rooftop bars?

NOXE at the W is the strict one: 'elegant and chic', with no trainers, flip-flops, ripped jeans, sportswear or caps, and no sleeveless shirts for men. It's also over-21s only. We didn't find a published dress code for the others.

What time is sunset in Barcelona?

About 21:00 in mid-May, 21:25 in June and July, 20:30 at the end of August, 20:00 in mid-September and 19:10 in mid-October, then about 17:50 once the clocks go back at the end of October. Arrive at a rooftop half an hour before.

Corrections

  • : Removed the year the W’s 26th floor stopped being Eclipse (2023): no primary source gives it, and other sources say 2022. It’s now NOXE.
  • : Rewritten and republished, with the editor’s sign-off. The new guide is built from each rooftop’s own 2026 pages and menus: twelve rooftops, with who can go up, opening hours, booking and drinks prices, plus three viewpoints that aren’t rooftop bars. Nothing from the withdrawn version was carried over unchecked: Hotel Brummell, Casa Camper and the Pacha rooftop are gone, and the Majestic, Grand Hotel Central, La Isabela and NOXE rooftops are back with checked details.
  • : Withdrawn. On checking, too little of it held up: Eclipse and Terraza Oria had closed and Brick's couldn't be found; Hotel Brummell's terrace and pool appear to be for guests, with no public bar we could confirm; Casa Camper's rooftop is for guests and has no plunge pool; and the Pacha rooftop no longer exists under that name. The guide's address now goes to the Barcelona page.
  • : Eclipse, on the W's 26th floor, closed in 2023; the floor reopened as NOXE. The guide now says so and drops Eclipse's prices, hours and booking details until NOXE has been checked. Terraza Oria at the Monument Hotel closed in October 2025 and is removed, and so is Brick's in El Born, which we couldn't confirm exists. Vincci Gala is on Ronda de Sant Pere, not Passeig de Gràcia. [We couldn't confirm the year Eclipse closed: no primary source gives it, and other sources say 2022. See 8 October.]
  • : Removed a first-person account of a favourite rooftop in El Born: the guide is research-led. Removed a quote credited to “a Barcelona bartender”, an unnamed source that couldn’t be checked, and a closing line about booking the venues direct through the site, which Citorah doesn’t offer.
