The short version
- Ibiza's 2026 season ran from late April to mid-October: the clubs opened between 24 April and 9 May, and the closing parties run 9–12 October.
- Peak intensity lands in late July and August, but for the music, our pick is June and September.
- Every major weekday has an anchor residency: Monday Circoloco, Tuesday Metamorfosi, Sunday Solomun+1, and more. Not all of them run the whole season, so check the dates.
- Pick the week before picking the flights. No club has announced its 2027 dates yet.
Most people arrive at the question "when should I go to Ibiza?" with a fixed budget and a schedule. They pick dates, then figure out what's on. That's backwards. The calendar changes from week to week, and the same trip one week earlier or later can mean a different line-up altogether.
This is the 2026 season, week by week: a record of what ran when, and a guide to how the season works when you plan 2027.
The five phases of the Ibiza season
| Phase | 2026 window | What's on |
|---|---|---|
| Opening | Late April to mid-May | The opening parties, then the first residencies |
| Early season | Late May to mid-June | Most residencies running, with more starting each week |
| Peak | Late June to end of August | Nearly every residency running |
| Late season | September | Some summer runs finished; the rest run into October |
| Closing | Late September to mid-October | The residency closings, then the clubs' closing parties |
From the clubs' own 2026 dates.
A note before the week-by-week: residency nights are fixed. The anchor nights (Circoloco on Mondays, Solomun+1 on Sundays, Black Coffee at Hï on Saturdays, Metamorfosi at Amnesia on Tuesdays, ANTS at Ushuaïa on Saturdays) run every week of their own seasons. What changes from week to week is who plays alongside the resident, which one-off parties pop up, and which residencies have started or finished.
Late April: the season opens
Week of 20–26 April: The season starts here. IMS (International Music Summit) ran 22–24 April in 2026: it's the industry conference, with side events at Las Dalias and Akasha. Then came the openings: Pacha's Grand Opening Weekend (24–26 April), Hï on Saturday 25 April and Ushuaïa on Sunday 26 April.
Week of 27 April – 3 May: DC-10 Circoloco's opening on Monday 27 April anchored the week, from 4 PM, with regulars and guests including Seth Troxler, Tania Vulcano, Luciano and Dixon. CamelPhat started Hï's Fridays on 1 May, and Black Coffee at Hï and ANTS at Ushuaïa both started their Saturdays on 2 May.
Opening-week mistake to avoid
First-timers over-stack opening weekend. They buy tickets for Hï on the Saturday and Ushuaïa on the Sunday and DC-10 on the Monday, thinking they'll handle it. Circoloco starts in the afternoon (4 PM for the 2026 opening), and DC-10 doesn't publish when it ends. It will flatten the rest of your plans. Pick two, not three.
Early May: the big openings landed
Week of 4–10 May: Amnesia opened on Saturday 9 May, for its 50th season, and with that all five superclubs were running. Weather: May averages about 23°C by day and 15°C at night, so bring a layer.
Week of 11–17 May: The first full week with all five superclubs open. Glitterbox started at Amnesia on Friday 15 May, and Music On at Pacha the same night.
Week of 18–24 May: No openings left and no festival weeks, just the season's weekly pattern. Cocoon, which has no residency in 2026, played the first of its three dates on Wednesday 20 May at 528 Ibiza.
Related guideLate May: shoulder before peak
Week of 25–31 May: It started with a holiday Monday on 25 May, the UK's spring bank holiday and Whit Monday across much of Europe. Solomun+1 started its Sundays at Pacha on 31 May.
Late May in general: still early season, but the line-ups are already strong. If you want the music without the summer crowds, this is a sweet spot.
Early June: the pattern sets in
Week of 1–7 June: Most residencies are running by now, but not all of them: several start later in June and July (below). Dom Dolla started Hï's Fridays on 5 June, elrow took over [UNVRS]'s Saturdays on 6 June, and Solid Grooves started at DC-10 on Thursday 4 June.
Week of 8–14 June: Flower Power took over Pacha's Saturdays from 13 June to 29 August, led by resident Roger Sanchez with a different guest each week, playing house.
Week of 15–21 June: Approaching the summer solstice. Sunset is at about 9.20 PM, which shifts the whole night later. Carl Cox started his Sundays at [UNVRS] on 21 June.
Late June: peak season begins
Week of 22–28 June: Summer proper, with the last big residencies about to start.
Week of 29 June – 5 July: The last big residencies start: Metamorfosi at Amnesia on Tuesday 30 June, Martin Garrix at Ushuaïa on Thursday 2 July, and CamelPhat moving to Hï's Sundays on 5 July.
July: peak intensity
Week of 6–12 July: Calvin Harris added his Ushuaïa Tuesdays from 7 July, alongside his Fridays. A representative peak week.
Week of 13–19 July: Mid-peak. Cocoon's one Amnesia date of 2026 was Sunday 19 July. If costume-heavy parties are your thing, elrow, the party brand started by a family from Fraga, in Spain, ran every Saturday at [UNVRS] from 6 June to 3 October.
Week of 20–26 July: Mid-peak, with Hï, Ushuaïa and Pacha all running their headline residencies. Weather: July averages about 30°C by day.
Week of 27 July – 2 August: School holidays are well under way by now: Irish primary schools close at the end of June, and County Durham's schools in England broke up on 20 July.
August: maximum volume
Week of 3–9 August: The height of summer. If you came for the scene, this is it.
Week of 10–16 August: Assumption Day (15 August) is a Spanish public holiday.
Week of 17–23 August: Still peak. August's average high is about 30°C.
Week of 24–30 August: The end of summer, and the end of several summer runs: Calvin Harris's Tuesdays finished on 25 August, Dom Dolla on 28 August, Flower Power on 29 August and CamelPhat's Sundays on 30 August.
Early September: late season starts
Week of 31 August – 6 September: The first "late season" weekend. CamelPhat returned to Hï's Fridays on 4 September, Robin Schulz returned to Pacha's Saturdays on 5 September, and MESTIZA to Hï's Sundays on 6 September.
The September case
If you have flexibility with dates, September is our pick. Most residencies run into early October, and the weather is still warm: September averages about 28°C by day.
Week of 7–13 September: One of the strongest weeks for music, with most residencies still running before the closings.
Mid-to-late September: late-season peak
Week of 14–20 September: Now we're in the zone clubbing heads wait all year for.
Week of 21–27 September: The "last normal week" before the closing-party run begins. Martin Garrix's last Ushuaïa Thursday was 24 September, and Cocoon's last 2026 date was Wednesday 23 September at 528 Ibiza.
Early October: closing season
Week of 28 September – 4 October: The residencies close. Metamorfosi's last Tuesday was 29 September and Our House's last Wednesday 30 September. Black Coffee closed at Hï, ANTS at Ushuaïa and elrow at [UNVRS] on Saturday 3 October, and Solomun at Pacha, Pyramid at Amnesia and Carl Cox at [UNVRS] on Sunday 4 October.
Week of 5–11 October: The clubs' own closing parties. Music On has a two-part closing at Pacha on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 October. Hï closes on Friday 9 October, the same night as Glitterbox's closing at Amnesia. Saturday 10 October has Ushuaïa's Closing Party (from 1 PM), Amnesia's 50th Closing Festival and the first night of Pacha's Grand Closing Weekend, which finishes on Sunday 11 October.
Monday 12 October: DC-10's Circoloco Closing Party, from 6 PM, the last of the big closings.
After 12 October the big clubs close for the winter, apart from New Year: Pacha has Music On on New Year's Eve, and DC-10 has Circoloco on New Year's Day 2027. A few smaller venues keep going for a week or two: Beachouse closes on 17 October and Nassau Beach Club on 24 October.
Picking a week: strategic advice
If you'd rather avoid the busiest weeks: late May to mid-June, or the last week of September.
If you want maximum scene intensity: the first two weeks of August.
If you want the music at its best: mid-to-late September, in our view.
If you want opening week specifically: late April (24–27 April in 2026), or early May for Amnesia (9 May in 2026). Pick based on which club's opening you care about most.
If you want closing week specifically: 9–12 October in 2026, with the residency closings the weekend before (3–4 October). For 2027, watch the clubs' own sites: no dates are announced yet.
If you want one long weekend: the Thursday to Monday that covers a Circoloco Monday. Land on Thursday, do a beach and dinner day on Friday, a boat party on Saturday, dinner on Sunday and Circoloco on Monday, then fly out on Tuesday.

Questions
When is the best week to visit Ibiza?
For opening parties, late April to early May. For the music, our pick is the last two weeks of September: most residencies are still running before the closings, and September averages about 28°C by day. If you can only go in high summer, aim for early July, once the last residencies have started.
When do Ibiza clubs open and close?
In 2026 the clubs opened between 24 April and 9 May: Pacha's Grand Opening Weekend (24–26 April), Hï (25 April), Ushuaïa (26 April) and DC-10's Circoloco (27 April), then Amnesia (9 May). The residencies closed from late September to 4 October, and the clubs' own closing parties run 9–12 October, ending with Circoloco at DC-10 on Monday 12 October. No club has announced its 2027 dates yet.
Where should I stay?
By club: Playa d'en Bossa puts you next to Hï and Ushuaïa, and Ibiza Town is walking distance from Pacha. Pacha's tickets include a free one-way shuttle from San Antonio.
What's the difference between July and September in Ibiza?
Musically, they're comparable: most of the same residencies, though some summer runs (Flower Power, Dom Dolla, Calvin Harris's Tuesdays) end in late August. September is a little cooler, averaging about 28°C by day against about 30°C in July and August. By late September the residencies are closing and the season turns to closing parties.
Is Ibiza worth going to outside of summer?
For clubbing, mostly not: the season runs from late April to mid-October. The exceptions are New Year, with Pacha's Music On on New Year's Eve and Circoloco at DC-10 on New Year's Day. The island is still worth visiting in winter, but not for the clubs.
Do Ibiza residencies run every week of the season?
Every week of their own season, yes, but the seasons differ. Circoloco ran every Monday from 27 April to 12 October in 2026, while Metamorfosi ran 14 Tuesdays from 30 June and Flower Power ran from 13 June to 29 August. Check each residency's dates against your week.
The honest summary
If you're reading this more than four weeks before your trip, you have time to optimise the week, and it's worth doing. The difference between a good Ibiza trip and a great one is mostly about matching your dates to the line-ups you want.
Decision hierarchy:
- Pick the month by phase (opening, early, peak, late, closing). Pick late season if you have any flexibility.
- Pick the week by the residencies you care about, and check their start and end dates.
- Pick the nights and build the flight dates around them.
- Book flights last.
Most people do this in the reverse order. That's how they end up in Ibiza for a weekend when none of the nights they wanted were on.

Corrections
- : Re-checked and rewritten as a record of the 2026 season. Not every residency was running in early June or still running in mid-September: Flower Power, Carl Cox, Metamorfosi, Martin Garrix and Calvin Harris’s Tuesdays started later, and several summer runs ended in late August. elrow ran at [UNVRS] from 6 June to 3 October, not all season, and its founders are from Fraga, not Barcelona. Flower Power is Roger Sanchez’s house night, not a retro party. May averages about 23°C by day, not the mid-20s; July averages about 30°C, not consistently over it; and August’s average high is 30°C, not 31. School holidays start well before late July. The island doesn’t go quiet after 12 October: Pacha and DC-10 open for New Year. Removed the sea temperatures and the cost index, which had no source or method, a “Circoloco 27th anniversary” that no listing shows, the 12-hour Circoloco claim, and crowd and price patterns no source states.
- : The opening and closing weeks were wrong. In 2026 IMS ran 22–24 April, not in May. Pacha, Hï, Ushuaïa and DC-10 opened 24–27 April and Amnesia on 9 May. The residencies closed on 3–4 October, and the clubs’ own closing parties run 9–12 October, ending with Circoloco on 12 October. Amnesia’s Tuesday is Metamorfosi: Cocoon has no residency in 2026, just three dates. There’s no Glitterbox Festival, and elrow runs every Saturday at [UNVRS], not mid-July takeovers. Removed an invented scene at Solomun+1, unsourced claims about lineups and what residents say, unsourced percentages, and a line promising live listings the site doesn’t have.
- : Removed a quote credited to “an Ibiza promoter, off the record”, an unnamed source that couldn’t be checked.
