Citorah says
Málaga Cathedral (the Santa Iglesia Catedral Basílica de la Encarnación) is at Calle Molina Lario 9. It was built where the city’s main mosque stood, to a first design by Diego de Siloé. It opened for worship as it is today in 1768, with the towers still unfinished.
From Málaga’s Sights and Museums: The Alcazaba, Gibralfaro, the Picasso Museum and the Cathedral, with Tickets and Free Hours, under “Málaga Cathedral”.
The catch
The rooftop is shut.

ATICO Bar
Citorah says AC Hotel Málaga Palacio, at Cortina del Muelle 1, between the Cathedral and Paseo del Parque, has a rooftop pool and views of the port. Marriott lists its ATICO Bar from 12:30 to midnight from Sunday to Thursday and until 1:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, with a smart casual dress code.
The catch The ATICO restaurant can close for private events, so call ahead.
Citorah PickRestaurant
La Cosmo
Citorah says Dani Carnero, the chef at Kaleja, also runs this more casual place, with an open kitchen, and Michelin says it’s committed to transparency about its produce and where it comes from. Michelin recommends eating at the bar and ordering the hake salad.
The catch Bread costs €2.50

Catalonia Molina Lario
Citorah says A four-star in the historic centre, a step from Calle Larios. Its rooftop has an outdoor pool, a solarium and a bar, with views of the port and the cathedral, and it’s open all year round. Most of its junior suites look onto the cathedral from their balconies.
Citorah PickRestaurant · Centro Histórico
Kaleja
Citorah says Kaleja is the Sephardic word for “alley”, Michelin notes, and the restaurant is in Málaga’s old Jewish quarter, a few steps from the Picasso Museum. The chef, Dani Carnero, revives traditional Andalusian recipes, cooking slowly over hot coals in what the restaurant calls “candle cooking”.
